What to expect
Initial Consultation
Your first session is for you to get to know your physiotherapy and for her to get to know you and your body: your symptoms, your concerns, any prior investigations/treatment you have had and what your goals are. Within this session you will be assessed physically, which may include an internal examination of your pelvic floor. Together you will then formulate goals and a plan to reach them.
Follow Up Treatment Sessions
Guided by your physiotherapy, you will have either 30min, 45min or 60min treatments which – like all treatments at Reform – will be a combination of modalities best suited to you and your goals. These may include: hands-on work, acupuncture, exercise rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, Pilates and reformer Pilates. Your physiotherapy will continuously reassess you throughout, to ensure you reach your goals as quickly as possible. They may also refer you to other members of the Reform team depending on your developing needs.
Mummy MOT
Pregnancy is the most natural of events, but recovery can be a struggle; especially the first time, it can be difficult to know what you can and can’t do and what is normal. Our team is here for you! We can check-in with you pre and post-birth, or further down the line.
A mummy MOT will involve a thorough assessment of your posture, abdominals and pelvic floor as well as a functional assessment to address any musculoskeletal concerns you may have to ensure you can get exercising confidently and safely and back to doing all of the things that you love!
