Emma graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree from Ulster University. Since then she has worked in a wide range of areas within the NHS to include neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic post-operative management, respiratory physiotherapy and critical care, elderly care and rehabilitation, acute medical rehabilitation, diabetes and endocrinology post acute medical rehabilitation and musculoskeletal outpatients.

She also has experience working within the private sector treating musculoskeletal conditions and has a passion for pilates completing APPI instructor training. She is passionate about adapting pilates exercises to achieve meaningful goals to each client focusing on relief from pain, return to sport, optimising function, strength and conditioning.

Emma is currently working in the NHS in a musculoskeletal outpatients department working with patients with a range of musculoskeletal and post-operative presentations, reviewing patients in a complex spinal assessment clinic for spinal and back pain presentations, knee and hip osteoarthritis clinic and taking back pain group exercise classes.

Emma’s broad range of inpatient and private physiotherapy experience facilitates holistic assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal presentations adapting exercise prescription target, frequency and intensity to meet each clients needs. This tailored approach ensures that the clients goals are at the centre of their rehabilitation journey and specific to their individual needs with considerations to past medical history, pain levels and stage of injury.

Emma was born in Belfast, completing her undergraduate training in Northern Ireland but has lived and gained post graduate experience in London for nearly two years. She enjoys running, cycling, coffee, travelling and pilates. She has a special interest and passion for women’s health physiotherapy. As a student physiotherapist Emma was a Healthy Athlete Volunteer for Special Olympics Ulster performing assessment and treatment for athletes with a learning disability and has volunteered in the community to facilitate a group cycling scheme with the charity Brain Injury matters. She was the country representative for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in 2022 and as a student physiotherapist and the team lead for Future Frontline charity in 2022, providing information and education for student physiotherapists.
