Kayla McClellan

Dynamic Pilates Instructor - Certified – STOTT

Kayla McClellan is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher from Florida. They received their BFA Dance degree from Florida State University (2017) and their MFA Dance Science degree from London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (2019).

Kayla has taught Pilates for over 10 years and is certified through Balanced Body and Stott. Their Dance Science degree allows Kayla to approach movement holistically, and they often work with individuals on injury rehabilitation. Kayla is particularly interested in supporting people’s mental well-being during injury recovery, as well as how movement can positively affect mental health in general. Kayla has specifically researched motivational climates in professional dance settings, and their research has laid the groundwork for how they currently approach leadership in all class and rehearsal settings. As a queer, gender-nonconforming artist and practitioner, Kayla is passionate about helping all people feel comfortable in exercise environments while individually helping everyone feel euphoric in their bodies based on their personal goals.

When they’re not teaching, Kayla can be found dancing, acting, choreographing new work, playing with their cat, or climbing a tree somewhere.
